Ordinary
flood doors use conventional passive seals which attempt to resist the
pressure of rising flood water. MeisTec Active Flood Seals utilize flood water
pressure in their active flood sealing mechanism maintaining effective
flood resistance long after passive seals have failed.
Under test conditions Flood Doors fitted with Meistec Active Flood Seals exceed PAS 1188 the Flood Protection Industry standard by some considerable margin. Testing demonstrates zero
leakage at 600 mm flood height with ongoing flood resistance to heights
well beyond that.
We are now giving live Flood Door and Flood Barrier demonstrations to
representatives of the trade, local authorities, and public at the StormMeister
testing facility in Preston, Lancashire which is situated close to M6
Junction 31.
